TGG Cares Raises $10,000 in Scholarships for New England Vocational Schools

Focus on Helping Individuals going into the Plumbing/HVAC trades

The Granite Group announced today their TGG Cares committee has raised $10,000 for New England Vocational Schools. The funds will be used to create multiple scholarships for individuals going into the Plumbing/HVAC trades. This fundraising effort was part of a company-wide initiative culminating in a big final push at The Granite Group's recent Annual Meeting.

"What makes this initiative so special is that the entire company chipped in with donations of all sizes at our Annual Meeting to help us reach that $10,000 amount. And we are very excited to see the money going to schools that do such a wonderful job creating opportunities for young people looking to build a rewarding career in the Plumbing and HVAC trades!" said Monica Apgar, The Granite Group's People Experience Director, and chair of the TGG Cares committee.

The $10,000 in scholarships will be spread out evenly among the following New England schools:

Maine: Capital Area Technical Center in Augusta, ME

New Hampshire: The New Hampshire School of Mechanical Trades in Manchester, NH

Vermont: Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center, VT

Massachusetts: Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsboro, MA

Connecticut: Norwich Tech in Norwich CT

Rhode Island: New England Tech in East Greenwich, RI
