National Women's Build Week

The Granite Group Partnered with Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity for National Women's Build Week

This week some of our rock star Granite Group team members took part in a day of "National Women’s Build Week" volunteering in Dover, NH with the awesome folks at the Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity.

Sharmaine Sanders, Granite Group Purchasing Agent, commented on her reason for organizing the volunteer opportunity, "Time is something no one has these days. To be present for something, to really be there, is a selfless act. Providing your hands to help mold someone’s habitat, that can provide years of shelter for their family, is that act. So in a world full of cookie cutters, be the filling."

Window trim was installed, caulked and spackled; the front porch stained, rough plumbing completed and inspected. Overall a fun and productive day!

National Women’s Build Week opportunities are available for any woman who wants to help with a Habitat for Humanity project and learn how to build and construct a home.
