We’re excited to share important news about the next chapter for The Granite Group.  

For more than 50 years, we’ve built a successful business grounded in great people, longstanding partnerships with leading manufacturers and representatives, strong customer relationships, local market knowledge, and a commitment to serving the plumbing, hydronic heating, and HVAC trades. We’ve accomplished a lot, and we believe there’s an even greater opportunity ahead. 

We have entered into an agreement to join Watsco, the leading distributor of HVAC/R products and solutions in North America. Watsco brings significant scale, resources, technology and industry expertise, while we bring a diversified business, talented people, strong customer relationships, and deep knowledge of the markets we serve. 

The Granite Group will remain The Granite Group. Our name, brands, branches, and leadership will remain in place. You’ll continue to work with the people you know, your local branch, and the products and services you rely on today. 

Over time, becoming part of Watsco will give us new opportunities to build on what we’ve accomplished, better serve our customers, and continue to grow. We’re excited about what we can accomplish together. 

The transaction is expected to officially close in approximately 30–45 days, following the required regulatory approval process.
