Session Time Out Settings

By default, your login session on the site will expire after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is due to internet security protocols. In order to maintain your session and avoid untimely time-outs, please take the following steps:

1) Use "Remember Me"

When signing in, please make sure to check the Remember me box.

2) Enable Cookies

You need to enable cookies and accept cookies from https://www.thegranitegroup.com.

Chrome

• Click the three dots menu in the top-right corner and select Settings.
• Click Privacy and security on the left menu.
• Find Browser Data or Third-party cookies or Cookies and other site data.
• Choose Allow third-party cookies or ensure "Block all third-party cookies" is disabled.
• Find Manage Exceptions and make sure https://www.thegranite group.com has a status of "Allowed"

Firefox

• Click the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
• Click Privacy & Security on the left panel.
• Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, choose Standard (Custom settings can sometimes block essential session tracking).
• Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section. Ensure that the checkbox for "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is unchecked.
• Chose Manage Exceptions and make sure https://www.thegranitegroup.com is "Allowed".

Edge

Step One: Make sure cookies are enabled.

• Click the three dots menu (...) in the top-right corner of the window and select Settings.
• From the left sidebar, click on Privacy search and services.
• Click on Cookies in the list.
• Makes sure Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) is On.
• Under this same section, check the Block list. If any website you are trying to stay logged into is listed there, click the three dots next to it and choose Remove.
• In the section Customized cookies behavior make sure https://www.thegranitegroup.com is there. If not use the Add site button to add it.

Apple Safari

• Click Safari in the top menu bar and choose Settings (or Preferences).
• Go to the Privacy tab.
• Uncheck the box next to Block all cookies.
• (Note: Safari automatically blocks most third-party tracking, but keeping "Block all cookies" off ensures that first-party login cookies remain active).
